Ernest Cooper's Centenary Celebration, April 2019

Ernest Cooper's Centenary Celebration, April 2019

On 6th April 2019 Ernest Cooper Ltd hosted a Centenary Celebration at their depot in South Kirkby. The Cooper family are justifiably proud of their company's history and wanted to mark their hundredth year with style.

The Ernest Cooper Gold Truck

A show-stopping Special Edition FH750 was airbrushed by Matt PaintTM with a portrait of Lee and Jasons' Mum Margaret, who passed away in 2011. The truck was supplied by Crossroads Birstall and the trailer by Wilcox.

The Ernest Cooper gold truck will be attending shows throughout the UK during the Centenary year. Look out for it at Tip Ex, Harrogate 30th May – 1st June and the Macmillan Race day at York racecourse on the 16th June.

All earnings from the truck will support Macmillan for the centenary year. Read more about why this means so much to the Cooper family on Macmillan's fundraising page by clicking the Just Giving logo.

The Classic Truck

The 1966 Albion Chieftain is the same as those used in Ernest Cooper's fleet 50 years ago. Purchased recently from Bonnyrigg, the owners for the last 30 years. It has now been refurbished into the original livery by Tor Trucks Ltd in Somerset. The Chieftain now stands as a gate guardian at the main depot.
